ABOUT RENEW

For the past six years Alameda County’s Warren Publishing Group has developed a stature as a successful regional business renowned for its advocacy for seniors and providing important resources through the Renew magazine/newsletter, speaker’s bureau, community outreach and philanthropy.



Primary mission of WPG is to enable the mature demo-graphical 50 + to “Renew Life’s Possibilities”.

FOUNDER & EDITORIAL DIRECTOR


Antoinette Warren Williams is the founder and Managing Editor of Renew Magazine, a new publication distributed in key areas of Alameda County and Bay Area. She is a management professional with extensive experience in social and community services that focus on the senior community.

Among her many achievements, Ms. Williams has supervised annual government program audits and facilitated customer workshops, managed care and housing arrangement programs for seniors, facilitated resident communication and provided workshops to meet community needs.

Before founding Warren Publishing Group, Ms. Williams served as senior concierge for Warren’s Care in Oakland. As founder of Warren’s Care, Ms. Williams provided geriatric case management and placement services for seniors requiring a higher level of care than they were receiving.

 

​She was also social services coordinator for Christian Church Homes of Northern California where she provided assessment and care plans for families; was a California court-appointed, licensed private professional conservator; worked as Assistant to Director of Continuing Education at H. Trenholm State Technical College in Montgomery, Alabama; served as Social Services Coordinator for Graphic Communications Retirement Center in Oakland where she provided assessment and care plans for seniors living independently; and served as care manager for Bay Area Community Services, assisting adult protective services in daily operations of the Care Management for Seniors Program which allowed seniors with low and moderate incomes to remain in their homes.  Earlier in her career, she taught criminal justice classes at Peralta Community Colleges, owned and operated a private investigative and training institute, and served as a U.S. Probation and Parole Officer.

Ms. Williams holds a B.A. in Sociology from Fontbonne University in St. Louis, Missouri, and has completed all necessary coursework to receive her Masters in Consulting Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, Orinda, CA.

She is credentialed as a conservator for the California Registry of Private Conservators and Guardians and has lifetime certification teaching credentials from California Community College.

Her community involvement includes positions on Boards and commissions. She is affiliated with Allen Temple Baptist Church, American Association of Service Coordinators, Mayor’s commission on aging which she chaired for 2 terms; Congress of California Seniors; Social Workers in Senior Housing, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Warren Publishing Group is designed for the mature adult, ages 55+ and above and is dedicated to those who seek to Renew Life’s Possibilities.

Warren Publishing Group is not all hearts and flowers. We recognize that there are serious issues and challenges that our seniors face. Warren Publishing Group strives to provide content that mirrors the needs and wants of this unique generation.
